System Architect Lead

Tel Aviv - Israel
Description:

Prisma Photonics, a fast-growing startup, transforms infrastructure monitoring with optical fibers. We eliminate the need for extra sensors by offering sensor-free solutions to monitor electrical power grids and oil & gas pipelines across thousands of kilometers.

Our fiber-sensing technology, integrated with AI and machine learning, enables our customers to achieve environmental and renewable energy targets, ensuring smooth utility operations on their path to net-zero emissions.

We are looking for the best minds and spirits to join us in our journey. We know our product is only as great as the individuals building the hardware and software and harnessing data for good causes. Being a great team member means being eager to learn and grow, able to challenge while accepting being challenged, and working for the team and the product with enthusiasm and passion.

We are searching for a leading architect to build our future edge platform. Our new System Architecture Lead will be in charge of analyzing the limitations on our current platform, creating quick-wins to enable more margin for our current platform, and designing the future platform data leveraging hardware component choice and software changes to reduce system latencies and increase computation power for our field AI applications. This architect should be a hands-on system profiling expert, and be able to specify and guide the engineering and research teams to implement their components within a consistent metric and measurement system. In addition, the architect will oversee the work of the DSP team on signal processing, filters, noise reduction, and hardware acceleration coding.

Responsibilities:

  • Define system hardware and software components, flows, and allocation of resources, detailed in an architecture specification documents
  • Set system and subsystem performance KPIs in terms of throughput, computing resource usage, and accuracy, and provide benchmarks and tools to validate those measurements.
  • Define the system’s product level calibration and configuration points, and design goals for the official configurations.
  • Review critical code paths and validation plans to ensure that sensitive features are implemented correctly.
  • Provide training and education on relevant features for development and validation teams involved in the project.
  • Learn, explore and evaluate new and imported technologies for the product or development workflows to improve competitive positioning advantage or time to market.
Requirements:
  • BSc. or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a System Architect with a focus on high-performance computing systems or embedded systems
  • Strong proficiency in system design and architecture, including RTOS, Linux, and CUDA technologies
  • Proven experience with system profiling on Windows and Linux using NVIDIA and common python, c/c++ tools sets, and improving system performance through code optimization and hardware accelerator utilization.
  • Extensive Knowledge of microservices designs including message brokers, dockers and orchestrations platforms, including cloud and on-prem deployments, monitoring tools, and failure analysis.
  • Experience in signal processing technologies and AI model development
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent human relations and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • English – High level

Advantages:

  • Proficient with Matlab, and C++ coding and debugging
  • Managerial Experience of small team or center of excellence
